About Dr. Brian Currie

Brian P. Currie is Vice President and Senior Medical Director at Montefiore Medical Center. He is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at Bellevue Hospital / NYU and an Infectious Diseases Fellowship at AECOM/Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Currie also received an MPH degree in epidemiology from the Columbia University School of Public Health. He has been on the faculty of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine for over ten years and has a joint appointment as Associate Professor in Medicine and in Epidemiology and Population Health. His academic interests include the application of molecular epidemiological methods to investigations of infectious diseases. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, Dr. Currie continues to practice and teach in the Division of Infectious Diseases at Montefiore Medical Center. Dr. Currie has served as a consultant for the Wildlife Conservation Society for the past six years.
